um also the woman in that picture is fucking ugly. like could they have chosen a more unappealing picture to represent antiquated technology. things the nyt does not understand: facebook, twitter, the middle class. However i only read the style/arts sections perhaps there's alot they're doing well, in other sections.

With photoshop and some handy scripts, we can learn what it feels like to be a Palin! If we were Palin Spawn, I'd be Shoulder Frontier Palin and Andy would be Churn Scorpion Palin, according to the Palin Baby Name Generator. Which seems pretty appropriate. Now on to the heart of the matter, the burning question, what if we were Sarah and Todd? Well, first of all it'd be hot. And a little unfocused. And very loving. Perhaps a bit homicidal. I hadn't realized that Fairbanks was a major international transportation hub, but it really makes sense when you think about it. I'm really looking forward for the Alaska of the Future, with all the jets and kids you really can't go wrong. And that definitely has something to do with Sarah Palin. Speaking of, apparently there are some vindictive bitches in the final frontier, which I originally thought was space but now realize is Alaska. Stay strong Sarah!

As this post goes to press, Sarah Palin is currently the subject of only TWO of the New York Times' "Most Popular" articles and, tangentially, her candidacy the topic of only four more of those articles, leading this campaign watcher to ask...has Sarah Palin jumped the shark?

So, readers, you decide! Sarah Palin: yesterday's news? Or, still fodder for plenty more snarky Maureen Dowd columns?

In other news, declaring that something has "jumped the shark" has, almost certainly, jumped the shark.

Palin' Around: Everyone Wants A Piece

“Palin-fever” reached a pinnacle today with the gun-toting GILF’s arrival in St. Paul. Amy Goodman, host of Democracy Now, and a couple hundred die-hard Palin fans were arrested this afternoon, driven to civil disobedience by admiration for the possible gop vp 2be. While waiting for autographs and pictures police allegedly fired rubber bullets and used tear gas against awe-struck Palin fans. The Democracy Now website reports Goodman was arrested when she questioned the police about their overzealous detention of paparazzi.

Now, I’m all about protecting our favorite candidate for the vice presidency, but not at the expense of the fans. Now, these are fans that may have stood by her from her days as a beauty queen, throughout her pregnancy, loving her as the sports girl on Channel 2, they were there supporting her drive for Alaskan independence, watching her pregnancy, quietly acknowledging and accepting Todd’s DUI with love and forgiveness, through her pregnancy, throughout her 18 months as leader of Alaska, and of course through her pregnancy. Now these possibly “over-enthusiastic”, rain-or-shine Palin fans have been charged with obstruction of the legal process. Hopefully Palin can use some of her influence as the best-dressed and most beloved VP candidate since Bob Dole to help these fans out. Looking forward to Palin’s speech Wednesday night; I can only imagine the couture she’ll be sporting. Hopefully she’ll be able to compete with Cindy. We’ll keep you posted.

Former beauty queen, self described "hockey mom" and Tina Fey-lookalike Sarah Palin, who enjoys mooseburgers, guns and babies (in that order) MAY have actual opinions about politics and a voting record citizens SHOULD consider before, you know, choosing the next leaders of the country that this blog COULD address but really now...have you heard?! The presumptive Republican vice-presidential candidate is about to graduate from certified gubernatorial MILF (see below) to grade-A GOP GILF!

Indeed, prudes and conniving Democrats alike were shocked and pretended to be shocked, respectively, today by the news that Palin's 17 year-old-daughter Bristol is not not pregnant! 5 months so, in fact!

Not to worry, though, a shotgun wedding (and given Palin's fondness for the 2nd amendment, guns most certainly WILL be involved) and a reassuring PR campaign (if the GOP's press machine could make us forget Dick Cheney shot someone in the face, this should hardly phase them) should put this crisis behind us so that we can get back to discussing what really matters this campaign season: where Michelle Obama got that dress!
